First and foremost, we aim to deliver over and above customer expectations. Importantly however, in a crowded sector, safety, excellence and high standards are vital. They have been an essential part of our success. As a result, we truly feel that Southern Piling stands apart. Moreover, to coin a phrase, we are not just any piling company.
Southern Piling is a thriving organisation. As a successful business, we are proud of achievements.
However, it is true that we are very aware of the criteria we need to meet in order to gain these markers of professionalism. Therefore, our recognition by industry standards organisations demonstrates our high standards to you, our potential customers. Third parties inspect Southern Piling’s business processes from top to bottom on a regular basis and we always make the grade.
Our business has maintained all the below accreditations for several years. Of course, we plan to do so now, and well into the future.

Constructionline
Southern Piling is proud to hold Gold-standard accreditation with Constructionline. Passing Constructionline’s stringent validation requirements which assess a company’s credentials and policies for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption. This gives the UK’s top main contractors confidence that Southern Piling is an ideal partner to work with on their projects.
CHAS
Southern Piling has full accreditation with CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme).
CHAS maintains strict health and safety standards throughout the UK; their aim is to make these benchmarks the norm across the industry and Southern Piling is happy to apply these criteria to its work.
FORS: Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme
We have a fully registered Accreditation with FORS (The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme).
FORS promotes best practice across the European fleet industry and demands that we achieve exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection. This important accreditation also has links with the Transport for London Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) scheme.
ACCLAIM
Acclaim is backed by Supplier Assessment Services Ltd, and supports the aims of SSIP to improve H&S standards within the industry, and to minimise the duplication of paperwork in procurement. Southern Piling’s accreditation reassures its clients that they meet stage one health and safety requirements – something now mandated by a large proportion of buyers.
ALCUMUS SAFECONTRACTOR
Alcumus SafeContractor is an accreditation body, providing contractors with a jargon free health and safety assessment and enabling Southern Piling to keep up-to-date with their legal health and safety paperwork requirements, and so reassuring their clients that Southern Piling is always working to the highest of standards.
BUILDER’S PROFILE
Southern Piling’s Builder’s Profile accreditation enables the company to manage its pre-qualification and compliance requirements as well as maintain and share information with clients, other contractors and suppliers.
CQMS
CQMS accreditation enables Southern Piling to proactively manage its health and safety obligations and ensure that everything is ready to issue to our site teams and to use.
SMAS
SMAS sets stringent health and safety standards. It offers industry-recognised H&S certifications to contractors mainly within the UK house building sector. Southern Piling has achieved SMAS Worksafe, an accreditation which meets the SSIP core criteria.
SMAS assesses and renews our Accreditation annually. As a result, we keep fully up to speed with all legislation regarding health and safety.
