We completed a piling job in Midhurst recently that had some obstacles for our more than competant engineers to overcome.
The job involved installing 6 no. 300mm auger bored piles n/e 8 metres in length. However, when we arrived on site we discovered that there were drains located in the proposed positions for the auger bored piles.
We were able to overcome this obstacle by supplying one of our structural engineers to ammend and redesign the drawings due to the drain position. While one of our building engineers moved the drain to allow the new redesigned piles to be drilled and installed by our piling engineers - Job done! and everyone was happy with the fast turnaround of what could have been a lengthy delay to the building process.
