We have just completed some driven piles for a national broadcaster at their premises in Southampton. This wasn't a straight forward piling job. Because of the site restrictions, the piling rig had to be craned into the confined area where the piles were to be driven.
The crane arriving on site ready to lift the piling rig into place.
Heavy duty chains were bolted to each corner of the piling rig before a test lift was performed.
When we were all satisfied that the rig was fully secure, the crane started to hoist the piling rig over the buildings to the piling site.
The telescopic extending crane was able to lift the piling rig up and over the buildings with effortless ease.
The piling rig being steered into place.
Pin point accuracy was required to touch down the piling rig without damaging any surrounding buildings or pipework.
Finally, the piling rig in place and some successfully driven piles. All that was left was to hoist the rig back out again...
If you need some piling but are worried about access to your site then give us a ring. With our extensive experience in this area, we're sure to have a solution to your access problem.
